Prior to the 2014 World Cup draw having been made, C.Ronaldo was hoping to evade Brazil, Spain and Germany as he claimed that those are the toughest and favorite nations on winning it all this time around.
“The candidates to win the World Cup are Brazil, Spain and Germany. Ideally it is not a good moment to be drawn with them, but we are not thinking about that just now,” he told Spanish sports daily Marca’’.
Unfortunately for the Real Madrid player, Portugal was placed into Group G alongside Ghana, United States and Germany.  But even though they were drawn together with Germany, it is expected that Portugal advance through the next stages of the World Cup.
When C.Ronaldo was asked about the world record transfer player Gareth Bale, he had nothing but praise concerning the Welsh player who had a rough start with Real Madrid but now is recently firing on all cylinders as he has scored 8 goals in his last 7 matches with the Spanish club.

This World Cup will be one of the most anticipated events of history as the world will be keeping their eyes locked on Messi and C.Ronaldo who still have failed to win the trophy or even make the usual stunning performances they do with their respective clubs, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
