SALAH, SON IN GOLDEN BOOT BATTLE

Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah and Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-Min will go head-to-head for the Golden Boot award in the Premier League on the final day of the season. Salah and Son are almost inseparable on the list of the highest goalscorers ahead of the final set of Premier League games this season scheduled to take place across ten stadiums on Sunday.

Salah and Liverpool are in the running for the Premier League title ahead of the visit of Wolverhampton Wanderers in their last game. They are one point off leaders Manchester City who are also at home for their last game. The defending champions have led the league for the major part of this season and they are at home to Aston Villa with the knowledge that a win will guarantee them a second straight league title.

Egyptian star Salah has 22 league goals and one more than Son with 21 league goals. Salah was a big doubt for the Wolves game after he sustained an injury during the first half of FA Cup final last weekend. He has returned to training in time to feature in the Wolves game and the Real Madrid match in the Champions League final. Salah would be hoping to play against Wolves for him to boost his tally of 22 goals, while Son would be keen to usurp Salah by adding to his 21 goals when his Tottenham Hotspur side take on hosts Norwich City in their last league game of the season with Champions League football on the line. Spurs need to avoid defeat to seal the fourth and final Champions League place.

Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo would have been in the mix for the Premier League Golden Boot award if he scored in the last league game, a 4-0 defeat to hosts Brighton and Hove Albion. Cristiano Ronaldo failed to add to his 18 goals during the game. The Portuguese international skipper came into the Brighton game on the back of a good run of form. Cristiano Ronaldo scored six goals in four league outings before the Brighton game.
