Manchester United have ended their run of three games without a victory in all competitions after their success over Brighton and Hove Albion earlier this week. The two teams met in the Premier League and it was hosts Manchester United who emerged victorious thanks to an impressive display in the second half.

The Red Devils came into the Brighton game on the back of a winless run that saw them exit the FA Cup and also diminished their top-four hopes. Their last win before the run of games without victory in all competitions started was against fellow Premier League top-four chasers West Ham United. England international Marcus Rashford came off the bench to score the only goal of the game against the Hammers in stoppage time. The home win over West Ham United lifted Manchester United above their opponents and into the top four places on the log.
